Reflection BEIL0014 Digital Making has never been an option for me while selecting BEIL course for my 3rd year electives. Honestly, i chose this course because of this is the only course that is available to me as other course is full within a second. I was worried about it since i have zero handcrafting experience and digital modelling techniques either.  Over the semester of studying BEIL0014 on metal shaping techniques and digital modelling such as 3D modelling and laser cutting, i found this course is the most fun and interesting course i have ever undertaken in my university life with the funniest tutors, shout out to Russell, Martin, Daniel and Gabe. All tutors are very open-minded, easy-going and innovative, giving the maximum freedom and flexibility to students allowing us to maximise our ideas and strengthen our handcrafting skills.  Review: Making the aluminium bowl has never be easy although it looks like the easiest one out of the five projects. BEIL0014 Fuel tank  In multi disciplinary team's of 10, we were required to create a 1:1 scale template replicating one of the motorcycle fuel tanks supplied.  Our group members were:  Moonjin Kim Eu Gene Hyun Louis Yu Tak Cheung Iverson Chun Yat Chiu Yixuan Zhang Yihui Wang Wing Yan Chick Alex Sostres-Roberts We are given choices of two different motorbike fuel tank, after discussed with my teammate, we decided to go for the easier version as it consists less curves and relatively simpler shape to construct and replica with aluminium sheet. We selected the Harley 883 Iron fuel tank .    Tools needed:  Aluminium sheet Laser cutter machine Mallets English Wheel Sand bag Software program needed: Autodesk Recap Fusion 360 Illustrator Stage 1 - Multidisciplinary team work  Before all the hard work and hammering work starts, making the template is the first step of the assignment. We decided to create a 3D model using Recap

BEIL0014 The Tray

Introduction: Making two metal trays to try to make it close perfectly. We are given three components to start this project, which is the gauge, aluminium sheet and wooden block. Measurement has to be made before all the hammer work starts.                    As the corners of the metal will fold upward, therefore, its necessary to trim the corners to make the hammer process easier.                                               Final result with the partner as well
